ANNUAL REPORT BY V.MRUDULA, PRINCIPAL

 

Distinguished Chief Guest of Today’s function Shri.D.Ronald Rose IAS, Collector and District Magistrate, Chairman, VMC, KV Mahabubngar, worthy members of VMC, distinguished guests, dear parents, media personnel, staff and my dear students.

 

Education is the most important level for social economic and political transformation. . Dawn of human history, every country develops its system of education to express and promote its unique socio- cultural identity and also to meet the growing challenges with the changing times. In this regard the major indicatives and programmes taken up by kendriya vidyalaya mahabubnagar during the academic year 2016-17 are as follows.

 

Land and Building: -

 The construction of school building is complete, an amount of Ten crores forty four lakhs ten thousand (Rs.10, 44, 10,000/-) was spent on the construction of school building. The telangana state government was generous enough to transfer 7.37 acres of land to KVS for the construction of school building and staff quarters.

It is a very huge structure to accommodate 1500 students with 36 spacious classrooms, 03 computer labs, each lab for chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics & Jr. Science lab, 1 NCC Room, 3 rooms for principal, Head master & Vice principal, one room each for staff, office & Medical, 3 rooms for activity, library & PET, 3 store rooms, and 2 resource rooms total -62 rooms, toilets, playground, parking place and canteen facilities are also available. It is an asset to mahabubnagar district.

 Keeping in tune with the modern technology, useful information about the school regarding admissions, examinations etc, is put up on our website which is updated from time to time. Our present address www.kvmahabubnagar.edu.  May be visited by the parents, patrons & stake holders.

 

 

 

 

 

Staff Position:

As on date 29 regular staff members are working in the Vidyalaya. 6 PGTs, 6 TGTs, 14 PRTs, 2 Non Teaching Staff and 4 TGTs are working on adhoc basis. KVS Head Quarters was kind enough to post regular teachers on a large scale even though vacancies were existing all over India.

             Security and cleaning services have already been privatized in this Vidyalaya for better services

 

Students Enrolment:

Till now the vidyalaya has classes from I to X with three sections and classes XI and XII with science stream.   The total strength of the school as on date 1100. There is lot of demand for all classes.                  

 

Academics:

 I am happy to announce that the X class students achieved 100% results. In the year 2016-17 out of 53 students 16 students got 10 CGPA. The First batch of XII class students of science stream passed out with flying colours with 100% results. All the classes produced 100% results for the year 2016-17.

To ensure all around development of the students KVS conducts different actives like pandit jawaharlal nehru science exhibition for primary and secondary classes and 6 students participated at regional level science exhibition held at KV NO 1 Golconda. Our students also participated in Children Science Congress held at KV No 2 Srivijayanagaram. One student by name K. Varshitha was selected at Regional level and represented Hyderabad Region in the National level at KV ONGC and KV ITBP, Deharadun

Our students also participated in Cluster level, Regional level social science exhibition.

  Our students are excelling in all fields (scholastic and Co-scholastic).

There are separate programmes for primary students at cluster level. Our primary students participated in various competitions at KV NTPC Ramagundam. Our vidyalaya also hosted cluster level Sports competitions where in students from different KVs of Hyderabad Region   participated.

 

 

 

Empowerment of Teachers:-  

 

The KVS is always imparting training to the members of staff to update them in the present trends in the education field. 

·         Principal Attended five days Training program on Yoga     at       Lonavala.

·         Principal Attended 2 days Educational programme on Back to Basics for principals at KV Begumpet..

 

·         Mr.Vivek Kumar Mishra  and Mr.Tushar Tyagi  attended Training programme on Back to Basics at KV Begumpet Ms Preeti Ashok Sojwal and Mr. Vivek Kumar Mishra attended Awakened Citizen Programme at Ramakrishna Matt Domalguda Hyderabad

·         Mrs. Premlatha Das attended 21 days In-service in two spells one at ZIET Mysore and second at KV NAL Bangalore.

 

Hindi Pakhwada Celebrations:-

In order to promote Rajbhasha, Hindi Pakhwada Celebrations were conducted from 14.09.2016 to 30.09.2016. In this connection Essay Writing, Quiz, Debate, Kavitha Path, etc., Competitions were conducted for students and non Hindi speaking teachers and prizes were given away to Winners.

 

Games and Sports:-

 In spite of different constrains our students also excelled in the field of games and sports?

 

Scouts & Guides:

 As service to man is service to Humanity, Children should be endowed with qualities of selflessness and sacrifice. Keeping this in mind we have a movement of scouts and guides wherein many students got enrolled to lead service oriented programs and participated in different activities conducted by KVS Hyderabad region. 

 

Medical Checkup: 

In order to ensure good health of the students   Medical Checkups were conducted for all children in September 2016.A team of doctors headed by Dr.Manoj of SVS Dental College have thoroughly checked all the students. Serious Deficiencies were communicated to the concerned Parents.

Basic Amenities:

      The Vidyalaya provides all the basic amenities to the students like potable water, clean toilets, and User friendly toilets for differently abled students and ramps.        

  Excursions:

Visiting places of importance always have an endearing impact on children which leaves an indelible impression among them, which they cherish in their lives. Our students visited different places this year also..

Worthy members of VMC, beloved office bearers of PTA, guests, respected parents, guardians,media personnel, staff and dear children.

                 It gives me immense pleasure to extend hearty welcome to  honourable Chief Guest, Sri M. Girija shankar IAS, Collector and District Magistrate, Chairman, VMC KV Mahabubnagar, who has been taking keen interest for the development of vidyalaya. He is very much concerned about the holistic development of the child and has given his best cooperation in this endeavor. It is my pleasure and honour to welcome respected Smt. Annapurna Girija shanker,as the Guest of honour. I am delighted to welcome esteemed Sri M Ramkishan, DRO & District Addl. Magistrate & Nominee Chairman

           

I feel it’s my privilege to extend the cordial welcome to the members of the VMC. I also welcome the dignitaries, guests, invitees, beloved parents and guardians on this happy occasion.

 

I have great pleasure in presenting the annual report of the session 2013-14

 

Land and Building: -

 I am happy to inform you that Bhoomi pooja was conducted on 13-06-2013 for construction of Vidyalaya building and construction of Type A Vidyalaya building is under progress. As on today 60% of the work has been completed and Rs.6 crore 50 Lakhs have been deposited with the construction agency i.e. HSCL . Stipulated date of completion of Vidyalaya Building is on 30-08-2014. An extent of three acres of Land has been given advance possession to Kendriya Vidyalaya Mahabubnagar, pending sanction of regular alienation. Regular alienation process is under progress. Once alienation process is completed, construction work of staff quarters will be started.

 

Annual repairs & Maintenance:

·         Partition Walls have been constructed to avoid overlapping of teaching learning process

·         Coolant was painted on the asbestos sheets in primary classes to reduce the temperature during summer in the temporary building.

Our School Website:

Staff Position:

As on today 8 regular staff members are working in the Vidyalaya. Due to administrative reasons, regular teachers have not been appointed in the year 2013-14. But now, the KVS has started recruitment process for appointment of Primary & Trained Graduate Teachers. However, contractual teachers have been appointed against all the vacancies, two of them are retired KV Teachers.

 Security and cleaning services have already been privatized in this Vidyalaya for better services

Academics:

 I am happy to announce to this august gathering that our examinations results in 2013- 14 are 100% in all classes except for Class X, awaiting for class X results.

 

Olympiads: -

 Our Vidyalaya encourages the children to participate in various Olympiads to improve their logical and reasoning skills.  

·         13 students appeared in NTSE exam.

·         29 students appeared in NSTSE-2014 Exam and Kumari.K.Sneha of Class X has received Gold Medal.

·         35 students appeared in Green Olympiad Exam in Aug, 2013 and have received appreciation certificates.

·         21 Students Participated in Sri. Srinivasa Ramanujan Maths Talent Test organized by Mathematics Teachers Association, Mahabubnagar in December 2013.

·         Principal attended one day work shop at KV Gachibowli on Adults Education Programme, three days Orientation programme at ZIET Mysore on Disciplinary proceedings and International conference of School Principals at New Delhi.

·         Mr. V Balakrishna Rao, TGT (Maths) and Mr. T Soma Shekar PRT (Music) have attended 2 days work shop at KV Hakimpet on “ Human Rights and Gender sensitization”.

·         Mr. V Balakrishna Rao TGT (Maths) attended 2 days workshop on Mathematical Orientation programme at KV NO-2 Uppal, Hyderabad.

·         Mr. P Venkat Rao TGT (WE) and Mr. V Balakrishna Rao, TGT (Maths) attended one day training on e-CTLT programme at KV Kurnool.

·         Mr.K.Vidyasagar Rao, UDC attended  Work Shop on “New Accounting Procedure” at KV Picket, Hyderabad

·         Mr. B.Balamallu and Mr. C.B.Jagadish Kumar ,Substaff attended 5 days Computer Training programme at KV No.1 Golgconda, Hyderabad.

·         Mr. T Soma Shekar PRT (Music) attended 21 days in service programme at ZIET Mysore.

 

Achievements in Co-Curricular Activities:-

 We are also giving equal importance to co–curricular activities. The following are some of the names of talented children who have excelled in various activities during the academic year.

·         Kum. Mariam Maqbool of class IX secured Third position in Elocution Competition organized by District Consumer forum and  received a Cash prize of Rs 1500/-. She also received a cash prices of Rs.500/- in Essay Writing competition organized by NEDCAP (National Energy Development Co- Operation of Andhra Pradesh).

·         Kum. K SNEHA of class X received a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- towards Inspire Award scheme announced by DOPT GOVT. OF INDIA.      

·         5 Students participated in drawing & painting competition conducted by District Grandhalaya Samithi.

·         2 Students Participated in elocution competition conducted by District Grandhalaya Samithi.

·         4 students Participated in Quiz competition conducted by District Grandhalaya Samithi.

·         One child participated in classical Dance in Grandhalaya Varshikotshav.

CMP Activities: -

·          Grand Parents day was celebrated on 13th November in order to inculcate values of love and care among the children.

·         On 14th November, BAL DIWAS was conducted, in this connection Fancy Dress Competition was organized and prizes were distributed to the winners.   

·         Our Primary students participated in Kho – Kho & Kabaddi games at Cluster Level held at KV No 1 & KV No.2 Uppal, Hyderabad in February 2014.

·         A Colorful CMP News letter was released to encourage the children to write Article’s, Poems, Drawing and Paintings etc., among the primary children.

·         Our Primary Students represented in CCA Competitions at Cluster Level held at KV NO1 UPPAL & KV NO 2 UPPAL, Hyderabad.

 

Science Exhibition:  

·         Vidyalaya conducted science exhibition on 5th October, 2013 with an objective to develop the scientific skills among the children.

·         6 Students participated in Regional Level Science Exhibition held at KV NPA Shivarampally, Hyderabad, in October 2013.

·         4 Students participated in National Children Science Congress Exhibition held at KV Hakimpet in October 2013.

 

Social Science Exhibition:

Vidyalaya conducted social science exhibition on 1st October 2013 to familiarize the culture of Punjab and Poland. 25 students participated at cluster level Social Science Exhibition held at KV Gooty on 3rd October 2013.

 

Hindi Pakhwada Celebrations:-

 Apart from excelling in inter- house competitions, many of our children took  part at the Cluster, Regional and National levels and got themselves selected in various events of sports and games. 

·         Master Karhik Goud of Class X Represented in Kho - Kho at 44th KVS National Sports Meet held at KV Ambala in Chandigarh in October 2013.

·         Kumari Manisha of Class X got Gold medal in Kabaddi in KVS Regional Sports meet held at KV NO -2 Golconda,Hyderabad.

·          Under- 19 (boys), 7 students represented in Kho- Kho team  at KVS Regional Level Sports meet Held at KV CRPF, Hyderabad in August 2013.

·         Our Cricket team participated in district level competition in November 2013 organized by District Cricket Association.

·         7 Students Participated in Caroms Organized by TNGOs Center Mahabubnagar.

Scouts & Guides conducted a rally on 15th July, 2013 to raise funds from general public and create awareness among public about Chardham Disaster. A sum of Rs. 6705/- was collected and donated to Prime Minister Relief Fund.

 

Medical Checkup:  

In order to Diagnosis any Medical problem like eye sight, Hearing Problem, Tooth Problem, Skin Problem etc., at early stage, two  Medical Checkups were conducted for all children in September 2013 and February 2014.Serious Deficiencies were communicated to the concerned Parents for further consultation.

 

 

  Road Safety week:

 

The Vidyalaya Observed 25th National Road safety week and conducted a rally on 25th January 2014. Under the theme “Pehle AaP” to familiarize the public with road safety rules.

 

Excursions:

 

Visiting places of importance always have an endearing impact on children which leaves an indelible impression among them, which they cherish in their lives. Our students classes III to X visited DHOLA-RI-DHANI, a Rajasthani Culture depicting place, Hyderabad.

 

PTA:

 

I would be doing a great disservice if I don’t take into cognizance of the service rendered by PTA whose Cooperation is too difficult to put down in words. I am extremely grateful to all the enlightened PTA members who have been ever co-operative in all our good endeavors.

Land and Building: I am happy to inform you that Collector and District Magistrate already handed over Ac 4.37 gts. of Land to KV Mahabubnagar in Sept, 2009. Orders were issued giving advance possession of the Land to an extent of Ac 3.00gts to Kendriya Vidyalaya Mahabubnagar, pending sanction of regular alienation. Regular alienation process is under progress.

Ø  Kum. Mariam maqbool of class VIII secured 1st position in elocution competition at District level which was organized by zonal office of Andhra bank, MBNR. The District Collector awarded a memento and appreciation certificate.

Ø  Kum.J Vaishnavi of class VIII participated in District level Granthalaya Celebrations and secured 1st prize in singing competition.

Ø  Kum.Sathwika of Class VIII also participated in Granthalaya celebrations and secured 1st position in folk dance.

 

Science Exhibition: Vidyalaya conducted science exhibition on 12th October, 2012 to develop the scientific skills among the children.

are participated in National Children Science Congress held at KV Picket and received participation certificates.

 

Social Science Exhibition:

Vidyalaya conducted social science exhibition on 6th October 2012 to promote the culture of Meghalaya and USA. One of our projects was selected for National Level Exhibition.

 

 Games and Sports: Apart from excelling in inter- house competitions, many of our children taking part at the Cluster, Regional and National levels and got themselves selected in various events of sports and games. 

 

Ø   Under- 14 (boys) Kabaddi  team participated in cluster level sports meet which was conducted at KV Kurnool and secured 1st position. Seven of our players selected for KVS Regional Sports meet held at KVNFC Nagar, Hyderabad and bagged silver medal.

Ø  I am proud to announce that Master Rakesh kumar of VII class, Master. Rohith Kanna of class VIII and Master Jashwanth Naik of Class VIII represented Hyderabad Region in the prestigious    KVS National Sports Meet which was held at Lucknow, U.P and received KVS National participation Certificates.

 

 

Scouts & Guides: As service to man is service to Humanity, Children should be endowed with qualities of selflessness and sacrifice. Keeping this in mind we have a movement of scouts and guides wherein many  students got enrolled to lead service oriented programs. 

 

Excursions: Visiting places of importance always have an endearing impact on children which leaves an indelible impression among them, which they cherish in their lives. As such about 108 students visited Mount Opera, a picnic spot, Hyderabad.

 

PTA: I would be doing a great disservice if I don’t take into cognizance of the service rendered by PTA whose Cooperation is too difficult to putdown in words. I am extremely grateful to all the enlightened PTA members who have been ever co-operative in all our good endeavors.
